Question: Why are your caregivers better than others?
Answer: Because our caregivers have been specially screened and trained by Focus Care. Every caregiver is bonded and insured. The majority of our caregivers have advanced training in their care specialty. Furthermore, our caregivers have been oriented to our system of superior home health care. We match caregivers to you and your family based on the skills needed for a positive, healthy relationship.
Question: Are your services only for seniors?
Answer: No, we provide services to individuals with disabilities, accident victims, and those recovering from a recent illness or surgery. We also provide services to anyone needing a homemaker or personal care.
Question: Are your services available in nursing homes or assisted living facilities?
Answer: Yes, we can provide our personal care, companionship, or hospice services for home health care anywhere the client resides.
Question: Does Medicare cover the cost of services?
Answer: Medicare does cover the skilled intermittent care we provide, when the patient is homebound. However there are other options available, if this is not applicable. If the client has a long term care policy, this may cover the cost of services. Focus Care would be more than happy to assist you in verifying your insurance benefits. Other payment options include but are not limited to: private/family pay, worker's compensation insurance, private health insurance and auto insurance.
Question: Are your caregivers bonded and insured?
Answer: Yes, all of our caregivers are bonded and insured. We accept full responsibility of our employees when they are in your home. Our caregivers go through a meticulous 6 step screening process. Included in the process are criminal background checks, drug screening and a comprehensive OSHA training.
Question: Will the same caregiver come every time?
Answer: We at Focus Care recognize the importance of consistency in providing care for our clients. Focus Care strives to ensure continuity of care, and will make every attempt to send the same caregiver to our client’s home.
Question: How much do the services cost?
Answer: Focus Care offers different levels of care. The cost is determined based on the needs of the client. Call the Focus Care office near you and have an intake coordinator assess your situation. At that time, Focus Care will be more than willing to give you a quote on the price of services.
Question: Do I have to sign a contract to keep services for a specified period of time?
Answer: Focus Care asks that you sign a service agreement, giving us permission to care for you or your loved one. There is nothing in the agreement that ties you down to a specified period of time - We are flexible to the needs of our clients and recognize the fact that services may decrease or increase as situations change. You may cancel services at anytime.
Question: What if my caregiver is sick or becomes unavailable?
Answer: We have trained professionals assigned to each client's case. These individuals understand the needs and wants of our clients, as well as the skill level of our caregivers. Our trained professionals will find a replacement to ensure every client has coverage when needed.
Question: Why should I use Focus Care versus a competitor?
Answer: Our caregivers are bonded and insured and have undergone detailed background checks. Our large staff of qualified caregivers provides the ability to send in a back-up caregiver if your primary caregiver is sick.
Question: How will my caregiver be selected?
Answer: Our schedulers will make a caregiver selection based on the skills necessary for the case while also considering personality traits and availability. I you prefer, you can play an active role in the caregiver selection process.

Answer:Anyone who is homebound and in need of skilled nursing.
Question: How do I get home health care?
Answer:You can request home health care from your doctor or by calling us at 1(800)430-0309. We will assist you by working with your doctor to determine whether you qualify.
Question: Will my insurance cover home health care?
Answer:In most cases the answer is yes. Medicare (and many private insurance companies) will cover home health costs for beneficiaries.
Question: What if I don't have health insurance?

Question: Does Medicare cover home health care?
Answer:Medicare will cover the cost of home health care if the patient is referred by a doctor and is homebound.
Question: Who needs hospice care?
Answer: Your physician authorizes hospice care. Potential hospice patients can be identified by a diagnosis,symptoms, or a combination of both. The guidelines below will help if a patient is hospice appropriate.
Typical Diagnosis that may qualify:
  • Malignancies (all forms of cancer, leukemia)
  • End Stage CHF (congestive heart failure)
  • End-Stage Cardiovascular Disease
  • End Stage Alzheimer's Disease / Dementia
  • End Stage Neurological Disease
  • CVA Cardiovascular Disease )/ Stroke
  • Multi system Failure /Inanition/Malnutrition/Failure of thrive
  • ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease)

Typical Symptoms:
  • Progressive decline despite medical therapies

Question: Will my insurance cover hospice care?
Answer: Medicare, Medicaid and most private plans cover hospice services, provided certain medical and eligibility requirements are met. Focus Care staff will work with your insurance company to coordinate benefits.
Question: How do I get Private Duty care?
Answer: You can request hospice care by calling us at 1(800)430-0309. We will assist you by working with your doctor to qualify you to coordinate hospice care.
